Stacey and I have known each other since college.... about 15 years or so. We became friends in our "Wine" class at KSU. She leaned over and asked me during class if she looked any more tan.... I said, "yes, I can smell it." It was tanning lotion. We laughed for a good solid hour about it. The Professor stopped class to ask us what we were laughing about... then made us tell him after class.
Shortly after we started hanging out. We decided to have a party. We invite about 20 people. Stace and I are having a blast hangin with our friends. Then, one of friends came up to us and said, "Stacey and Robin..... did you know that there are only guys here and you two?" We died laughin.' We had invited all guys to the party.... we were so selfish....
She is, by far, one of the funniest people I know. She is the only person I know who could go up to a complete stranger, smack him across the face and still to this day.... be friends. She did it on a dare. To hear them tell the story, it still brings hysterical tears of laughter to my eyes.

Then there was a total misunderstanding with Officer Montgomery of the Manhattan, KS police department. She had him talked into getting smokes on the way to the station. He didn't stop... couldn't it was against policy. But later on that week, she made him and the rest of the Manhattan police department cookies. From that day forward, we always had Officier Montgomery watching our backs.
We used to listen to Delbert McLinton..... ok ok we used to dance on tables to Delbert, but
But the one constant in everything is that Stacey, as a friend, has never changed. Thanks Stacey for telling me about Delbert coming to KC...... now where are we going to see Lyle Lovett? I got the back ground vocals........ "look, I understand too little, too late, I realize that there are things you do and say that you can never take back. But what would you be if you didn't even try, you have to try. So, after a lot of thought, I would like to reconsider........ please....... if it is not too late...... make it a cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese bur-ger."
