Could this picture, seriously, be any cuter? Just 9 months ago my brother and sister in law brought her home from China. She takes everything in. Whether it is something she has never heard..... fighter jets flying in formation over us.... or a flower she has to stop and smell... she hems and ahhhs everything. She reminds me daily to take it all in.... I love this baby girl.... my precious Jessa Rose.

Bye Bye... Whit, Reed and Strohm....

Today, my best friend Whitney and her family moved to Dallas, TX. I have been fighting tears all day! She literally got my eyes focused on God after having "stepped away to do my own thing" for 12 years. We went from barely being able to sit in the same room with each other to being best friends. I have done a lot of soul searching through my walk with her and her husband... now it is time to search with Him who created me.
Whit, please know that you are always going to be such a amazing person in my eyes. Even though you made a tough, independent woman cry like a baby in the middle of my street chasing wine glasses and the misc. stuff.... i stuffed in a bag. Even though you called me out on all my trash and my own "free will stubborness." Even though you tell everybody I fired you.... "I like to call it relieving you of your duties." You were always welcomed back with open arms. Even though I got sideways a couple of weeks ago when I was sulking and you told me to get over myself!!! I am still having issues with getting over myself. I love you little sister. Please take care of the Stallion and Baby Colt for me. But most of all take care of yourself.
Thank you Jesus for unlimited texting, unlimited minutes and unlimited pix of baby Strohm. That was a HINT!!!! We have talked about the pix thing.

..... Hangin with Stacey and baking for Officer Montgomery....
Stacey and I have known each other since college.... about 15 years or so. We became friends in our "Wine" class at KSU. She leaned over and asked me during class if she looked any more tan.... I said, "yes, I can smell it." It was tanning lotion. We laughed for a good solid hour about it. The Professor stopped class to ask us what we were laughing about... then made us tell him after class.
Shortly after we started hanging out. We decided to have a party. We invite about 20 people. Stace and I are having a blast hangin with our friends. Then, one of friends came up to us and said, "Stacey and Robin..... did you know that there are only guys here and you two?" We died laughin.' We had invited all guys to the party.... we were so selfish....
She is, by far, one of the funniest people I know. She is the only person I know who could go up to a complete stranger, smack him across the face and still to this day.... be friends. She did it on a dare. To hear them tell the story, it still brings hysterical tears of laughter to my eyes.

Then there was a total misunderstanding with Officer Montgomery of the Manhattan, KS police department. She had him talked into getting smokes on the way to the station. He didn't stop... couldn't it was against policy. But later on that week, she made him and the rest of the Manhattan police department cookies. From that day forward, we always had Officier Montgomery watching our backs.
We used to listen to Delbert McLinton..... ok ok we used to dance on tables to Delbert, but
But the one constant in everything is that Stacey, as a friend, has never changed. Thanks Stacey for telling me about Delbert coming to KC...... now where are we going to see Lyle Lovett? I got the back ground vocals........ "look, I understand too little, too late, I realize that there are things you do and say that you can never take back. But what would you be if you didn't even try, you have to try. So, after a lot of thought, I would like to reconsider........ please....... if it is not too late...... make it a cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese bur-ger."
